Information letter #6 Heineken Hoek: placing floors and construction
Dear businesses and residents,
In this sixth information letter, we would like to let you know about the current situation, what work will be carried out in the coming period, and how this might affect you.
Work performed
- The basement walls have been poured;
- We placed the prefabricated basement walls;
- We assembled the supporting construction for the ground floor.
Pouring and placing the basement walls and assembling the supporting construction
On Friday July 1st, the basement walls of the Heineken Hoek were poured. The concrete mixers were ready at 7:30 AM and at 6 PM we were finished. Together with the projectteam we made sure everything went smoothly. After the pouring of the basement walls, we placed them in the basement and assembled the supporting construction on the ground floor.
Activities in the coming period
In the week of August 22, the floor of the ground floor will be laid. Between 7 AM and 4 PM the floorboards will be delivered. We got a permit from the Municipality of Amsterdam. The floor will be poured at the end of September/the beginning of October. We will organise this day in the same way as we did with the pouring of the basement walls. As soon as the ground floor has hardened sufficiently, the construction, containing the prefabricated walls and sand-lime brick blocks, will be placed. During these activities there will be various transports and lifting movements.
Structural work phase
We are now working hard at the shell of the building. As always, will do our utmost to keep disruption to a minimum. For example, large vehicles will load and unload inside the construction fences whenever possible.
Considerate constructors
We realise that we are guests in your area, and we will try to prevent any nuisance as much as possible and to keep it to a minimum. As a construction company, we are affiliated with the Stichting Bewuste Bouwers (Considerate Constructors Foundation). We work according to its code of conduct, in which limiting nuisance to the environment is paramount.
Our working hours
According to the building permits, work is allowed from Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 16:00. Materials and equipment may be supplied to and removed from the construction site between 07:00 and 12:00. Occasionally, it is possible that we will have to work outside the permitted times. We will let you know if this is the case and it concerns
work that might cause a nuisance.
